The charging head of our TickTalk 4 charging cable uses a magnetic connection along with a built-in fuse in the cable. If you connect one end of the charging cable to an adaptor and the other magnetic end is attracted to any conductor, such as a metal cabinet or metal object, it can cause the cable to short circuit and stop working. If you experience this issue and require a replacement charging cable, please contact our support team here. Once you receive your new charging cable, please follow the below guidelines to prevent any future issues.
- Do not use a fast-charging plug to charge your TickTalk smartwatch, as it can significantly increase the risk of a short circuit and cable failure.
- When not actively charging, please do not leave your charging cable connected to the plug while simultaneously allowing the magnetic end to adhere to any conductive metal. This can lead to a short circuit causing charging cable failure.
