TickTalk now supports SMS messaging! Families can now stay connected more easily than ever through text messaging directly from phone to watch.
With our new SMS feature, TickTalk users can enjoy:
- Two-way text messaging between TickTalk 5 and smartphones
- Voice memos for instant personal messages to family
- Emojis and GIFs to make conversations more fun and expressive
Parents must add all trusted contacts within the TickTalk app before anyone can send or receive SMS messages with the watch. This ensures that only verified family members and friends can connect with the user.
Step 1: Update TickTalk 5 smartwatch to latest version TOS 5.5.0
Step 2: Add approved contacts for SMS by adding phone numbers of trusted recipients
Step 3: Make sure to toggle on 'Block Unknown Numbers' in the TickTalk app
Step 4: Send SMS message from TickTalk 5 to trusted contact to confirm delivery
*All group chats still require TickTalk in-app messaging and not supported via SMS
