At TickTalk, ensuring user safety is paramount, which influences how we roll out features globally. Our latest update introduces the ability to use your phone number for account verification and as a username in certain countries. To enhance the security of user data, we have added SMS verification for certain features.The update also brings exclusive features such as Remote Answer and the ability to invite other users via SMS, tailored to enhance security and user experience.
Availability of SMS Features
The SMS feature and Remote Answer are enabled for users in the following countries:
- United States
- Canada
Enhanced Features with SMS Verification
Eligible users in these approved countries can enjoy the following benefits:
- Phone Number as Username: Simplify your login process by using your phone number as your username.
- SMS Verification: Secure your account registration with an SMS verification code, ensuring a smooth and secure signup process.
- Remote Answer: Specifically approved for users in the listed countries, this feature allows you to call and listen to what is happening around the watch at any time as an Admin with Remote Answer, adding an extra layer of convenience and connectivity.
- Invite App Users by SMS: Users in the approved countries can send courtesy SMS invitations to friends and family to join the TickTalk App, making it easier to expand your network.
Users in Other Countries
With our COPPA certification we are required to meet certain safety criteria. Users residing outside the approved countries still have the following restrictions:
- Email as Username (only): If your country is not on the list of countries you can sign-up and use your email as your username.
- Email Verification (only): Secure your account registration with an email verification code, ensuring a smooth and secure signup process.
- Remote Answer: Not available in countries outside of the listed countries.
- Manual Invitation: Send potential new users the app information and provide them with the TTID # of the watch directly. While this method doesn't include the convenience of a courtesy SMS, it ensures that everyone, regardless of location, can join and enjoy the TickTalk App.
iHeartRadio Family App Limitations
Please note that the iHeart feature is only available to users located within the United States.
