TickTalk 5 App Troubleshooting - APP section

I am unable to setup my watch with the TickTalk App

Your watch may be offline. Please restart the watch, place it somewhere with good reception, and try again. Please make sure you see the connection icon on the watch before setting up through the TickTalk App. If you are in an area with bad reception, please connect the watch to Wi-Fi and try again.

My app notifications aren't showing up on my phone

If you have a Google phone and notifications for the TickTalk App are not populating for messages, calls, or other notifications, please go to your phone settings > System > System Update. Please make sure that both your phone and TickTalk app are on the latest version.

I keep getting an error message when trying to login to the app saying Incorrect username or password

If you have an iPhone device, the first letter of your email may have been automatically capitalized. Try capitalizing the first letter of your email in the username field on the App and try to log in again with your password.

How do I remove an old TickTalk watch from the TickTalk App?

Please tap the circle image icon in the middle of the TickTalk app. All watches that are paired with your app will appear. Choose the watch you want and click 'Remove'. A set of instructions will appear instructing you to either 'Unpair' your TickTalk or 'Reset'. Once you remove the watch you will no longer see it in your list of paired watches.

If I accidentally uninstalled my TickTalk App, will everything be deleted?

If you simply uninstalled the TickTalk App, the settings and options inside the App will not automatically change, disable, or revert to default. You may lose chat history and photos sent by the watch. If you remove or unpair the watch in the TickTalk App or selected System Reset, all of your information will be wiped and you will need to pair again. We made this video for more information on pairing the watch.

How do I clear my TickTalk App cache?

Clearing cached data can free up needed space by removing temporary files. This is a short-term solution. Over time, cached data will build up again. Clearing all of an app's data can resolve some issues.

To clear the cache for the app:

  1. Open your device's Parental Portal
  2. Tap My App
  3. Tap Clear Cache
  4. A notification will appear asking if you are sure you want to delete all messages.
  5. Click Yes

*Caution: Any data saved in this app will be erased.
